Position Summary:

Provide HSE support and assistance at the B-3 & Atrush Production Storage and Loading Facilities.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily pre-loading oil tanker safety inspections as per the company inspection checklist.
  • Report any safety defects or inspection fail criteria immediately to Field HSE Supervision personnel.
  • Deliver oil tanker safety briefings and inductions to al oil tanker drivers.
  • Daily, Weekly & Monthly Safety Equipment Inspections including, but not limited to- Portable Fire Extinguishers, Breathing Apparatus, First Aid Kits and Eye Wash Stations
  • Complete written reports for daily, weekly & monthly safety equipment inspections
  • Conduct daily site inspections at designated work location
  • Provide “Buddy system” duties as and when directed by the Production Operations team
  • Participate in weekly HSE Drills under the direction of the HKN Site HSE Advisor
  • Participate in hazard identification tours and complete appropriate Safety Observation card/reports
  • Collect completed Safety Observation card reports for designated location and provide to the HKN site HSE Advisor daily

Qualifications & requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Preference for basic HSE Qualifications such as IOSH Managing Safely but not essential
  • Good English language skills- Verbal, Reading & Writing
  • Good Computer skills and use of Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Previous HKN experience as a Tanker Safety Inspector/Pilot Driver
  • Initiative-taking with ability to work as part of a team
  • Good knowledge of basic HSE practices including safe systems of work and PPE compliance

Physical Requirements:
  • Physically fit and able to conduct casualty search and rescue duties
  • Ability to Work in hot and cold climates and in remote locations, accommodation at site camp
