Position Summary:

The Camp Cost Control and Inventory Administrator is responsible for overseeing all cost and inventory aspects of camp operations, including camp, catering and maintenance. This includes monitoring and controlling costs, managing inventory levels, ensuring proper documentation. The role ensures efficient use of resources, cost-effective purchasing, and accurate financial reporting to support the camp’s objectives.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Administration of the below work streams for camp, catering and maintenance of the Field Services team.

Cost Control:

  • Develop and implement cost control procedures to monitor and reduce expenses.
  • Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including cost analysis and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with department heads to optimize spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.

 

Inventory & Asset Management:

  • Oversee the inventory, ensuring accurate tracking of all items related to camp/catering/maintenance.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet operational needs without overstocking.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and manage vendor relationships.

 

Documentation and Reporting:

·         Maintain detailed and organized records, reports, and logs of all inventory transactions and activities. Prepare and submit daily and monthly inventory reports.

 

Operational Support:

  • Collaborate with the camp management and other staff to support overall camp operations.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications & requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  •  Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; a degree in finance/logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  •  Experience: minimum of 3 years of previous experience in inventory management, logistics, or a similar role. Experience with inventory and asset management for implementation.

·         Skills:

o    Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

o    Proficiency in inventory management software, database systems, and MS Office Excel.

o    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

o    Good communication and interpersonal skills.

o    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

o    Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected situations.

o    Fluent in English & Kurdish (written & oral).

Physical Requirements (if needed):

·         Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.

·         Prolonged periods of standing and walking within the camp facilities.

·         Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings.
