Position Summary:

• The senior well services supervisor – ESP completions will review the completion design, prepare operational programs and perform or guide the installation well of completions. This includes service quality assurance, onsite supervision and decision-making during installation operations, post job evaluation and reporting as well as continuous improvement initiatives.
• This is a specialist designation of a Well Services Supervisor and also includes other duties associated with this position such as well intervention designs, preparation and supervision.
• The position is a combination of office-based work (5 days per week work schedule) and field supervision (as required). Typically, 90 days per year are spent in the field supervision capacity.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Well Services Supervisor – ESP Completions Tasks:

• Write or review ESP completion operational programs.
• Determine the required quality assurance/shop testing and quality control for completion installations.
• Ensure equipment is prepared in accordance with the designed/planned ESP and completion design.
• Review any required modelling/simulations to verify the designed completion specifications will not be exceeded.
• Evaluate the hazards and risks associated with the completion operations and actively mitigate them through program procedures and wellsite best practices.
• Supervise the ESP completion installations or workovers at the wellsite.
• Manage the post operations reporting process to ensure the optimization of operational data collation and interpretation for continuous improvement in both designs and operations. Ensure all post job reporting is completed and filed on the server.
• Optimize design and installation operations from lesson learned and job feedback.
• Develop department personnel to ensure there are enough trained supervisors for the wellsite operations.
• Participate in global learning and communication within the technical community (SPE forums, new technology events, etc.).

Senior Well Services Supervisor Tasks:

• Write or review well intervention operational programs.
• Ensure equipment is prepared in accordance with the designed/planned intervention program.
• Review the operational plan to verify the designed operations will not exceeded the well design.
• Evaluate the hazards and risks associated with the intervention operations and actively mitigate them through program procedures and wellsite best practices.
• Supervise the intervention operations at the wellsite.
• QA/QC all data and reports acquired from the intervention operations.
