HKN is a privately held, independent energy company with oil exploration and production operations in the northern Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), located in the prolific Zagros fold and thrust belt of Northern Kurdistan. HKN is focused on increasing production of its Sarsang and Atrush Blocks,
The Sarsang block is comprised of 420 km2 and contains two separate producing fields, Swara Tika and East Swara Tika. Each field contains three independent Triassic oil reservoirs.
The Atrush Block is comprised of 269 km2 and contains one producing field. The Atrush field produces oil primarily from the Late Jurassic reservoirs, with minor production from an early Jurassic reservoir.

Position Summary: |
|
Senior Petroleum Engineer will be responsible for designing, operating, and optimizing ESP-lifted wells while supporting overall petroleum engineering functions, including production optimization, well performance analysis, artificial lift selection, and field development support. The role requires strong hands-on ESP experience, solid petroleum engineering fundamentals, and the ability to work closely with operations, vendors, and management to maximize production, improve reliability, and reduce operating risk and cost. |
