Project Summary: The project of “Supporting Women Entrepreneurs in Rural Areas in Sulaymaniyah and Halabja Governorates” aims to empower women in Halabja and Sulaymaniyah Governorates by strengthening the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, supporting the creation of women-led micro-businesses through technical and financial assistance, and facilitating the growth of existing businesses with advanced support, mentorship, and improved access to markets and funding.
Job Summary: The Project Coordinator will oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of all project activities focused on strengthening the women's entrepreneurial ecosystem and supporting the creation and expansion of women-led businesses in Halabja and Sulaymaniyah. This role ensures effective coordination among stakeholders, manages field teams, maintains donor compliance, and ensures the timely delivery of outputs across all three components of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management and Oversight:
· Lead the coordination and execution of all project activities.
· Lead the day-to-day coordination and implementation of the project activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
· Develop and manage comprehensive project work plans, budgets, and monitoring frameworks to guide execution.
· Oversee project activities across Sulaymaniyah and Halabja governorates, ensuring high-quality delivery and consistency with project goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, International Relations, Development Studies, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing projects related to livelihoods, economic empowerment, or sustainable development in humanitarian contexts.
· Strong understanding of the women's entrepreneurial ecosystem in Halabja Governorate and rural areas of Sulaymaniyah Governorate.
· Knowledge of business training, entrepreneurship support, and economic empowerment.
· Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Fluent in English and Kurdish (written and spoken); Arabic language skills are an asset.
