Position Summary:

The Integrated Control & Safety Systems Specialist (ICSS) is responsible for the maintenance, optimization, and operational support of the Integrated Control & Safety Systems within the facility. The role demands expertise in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of automation systems, focusing on troubleshooting, system upgrades, and adherence to safety regulations.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Site focal point for all Control Systems.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance for all ICSS equipment, including PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and other control systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Integrated Control & Safety Systems to minimize downtime and ensure safe operations.
• Participate in Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and start-up of new installations, ensuring alignment with specifications and standards.
• Follow strict change management protocols for any modifications, ensuring all changes are documented, reviewed, and approved according to standard operating procedures.
• Regularly update and maintain backups of all ICSS software and configurations, ready for quick recovery if needed.
• Act as Performing Authority in the PTW system.
• Maximising the Integrated Control & Safety Systems to safely and efficiently contribute to delivering optimum site production.
• Implementing planned maintenance programme directly reporting to Maintenance supervisor
• Identify spares requirement and stock control.
• Monitoring and controlling works by vendors/contractors within his/her remit.
• Update and maintain the maintenance management system.
• Raise work permits and preparing work-packs, as appropriate to progress work, also for vendors and contractors.
• Compile Proof of work and competency portfolio.
