Job Description

 

Location: Sulaimanyah

Key Responsibilities:

  • - Lead the Legal Department and provide strategic legal guidance to management and all business units.
  • - Draft, review, and negotiate all types of contracts, agreements, and corporate documents.
  • - Ensure the company’s compliance with all local laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
  • - Represent the company in legal proceedings, disputes, and negotiations.
  • - Advise management on legal risks, potential liabilities, and preventive actions.
  • - Manage and oversee corporate registrations, renewals, and all legal documentation.
  • - Develop and implement internal legal policies and procedures.

Qualifications & requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law is required; Master’s degree or additional legal certifications are an advantage.
  •  
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive legal experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial position.
  •  
  • Languages: Fluent in Kurdish, Arabic and English (written and spoken)
  •  
  • Knowledge & Skills:
  •  
    • - Deep understanding of Iraqi corporate, commercial, investment, civil, criminal, taxation, customs regulations and labor law.
    • - Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
    • - Strong leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.
    • - High level of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment.
    • - Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
