Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

This is a full-time on-site role for Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at DSH Holding located in Erbil. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for managing the financial actions of the company. This includes tracking cash flow, analyzing the company’s financial strengths and weaknesses, and proposing corrective actions. The CFO plays a pivotal role in the overall management of the company, providing financial leadership and aligning business and finance strategy to grow the business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning and Strategy:
o Develop and implement financial strategies.
o Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
o Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
2. Financial Reporting:
o Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial information.
o Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, and forecasts.
o Report financial results to the board of directors and regulatory authorities.
3. Risk Management:
o Identify and manage business and financial risks.
o Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
o Oversee risk management and insurance activities.
4. Operational Management:
o Manage the company's financial operations, including accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
o Monitor and manage cash flow and financial resources.
o Oversee the company's financial IT system to ensure compliance with appropriate accounting standards and principles.
5. Leadership:
o Lead and manage the finance team.
o Develop and mentor finance staff.
o Collaborate with other members of the executive team to align financial management with short- and long-term financial planning and projections.
6. Strategic Planning:
o Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.
o Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.
o Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans.
7. Investment Management:
o Manage the company’s investments.
o Develop investment strategies and oversee investment activities.
o Make decisions regarding the company’s financial and investment planning.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Advanced degree or certifications such as CPA or CFA preferred.
• Language: English, Kurdish, and Arabic are a must.
• Experience: Proven experience as CFO or similar role (preferably 5-7 years); in-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
