Position: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Location: Duhok-Semel
Job Summary:
The Senior accountant is responsible for all the processes related to maintaining
accounting records, including bookkeeping, organizing, and basic analysis and reporting.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
●Maintain the accounting records of the company.
●Keep the updated details of Stocks in Factory and Warehouse.
●Keep follow up with SRs, and all other A/R accounts.
●Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying,
consolidating, and entering transactions.
●Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
●Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling
and analyzing account information.
●Reconciling all financial data being entered in the accounting system
●Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts
and providing information for auditors.
●Keep physical record of all financial information.
●Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at
year-end
●Assist the CFO in the daily banking requirements
●Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to
enhance the workflow of the department.
●Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual closing.
●Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
●Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not
limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
●Record all non-cash entries (on accrual basis).
●Follow up on supplier and customer accounts, and issue bills and invoices.
●Issue bank payments.
●Calculate and control fixed asset depreciation.
●Control cash and inventory balances, and validate daily cash count.
●Prepare bank reconciliation.
●Prepare inter-company account reconciliation.
●Follow up on prepayments and salary advances.
●Follow up on AP due dates.
●Update the prepaid entries.
●Reconcile the AP statement of monthly basis with vendors.
●Deposit cash in bank.
