We’re Hiring: Senior Accountant – Jibal Company
Jibal Company, a leading name in mobile retail and part of Gul Holding, is looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Erbil. This role focuses on ensuring accuracy in financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and smooth day-to-day accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes accurately and on time.
Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
Ensure compliance with tax requirements and support timely filings.
Maintain and update fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documentation.
Review and approve journal entries, adjustments, and reconciliations.
Supervise and guide junior accounting staff.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of proven accounting experience, preferably in retail or corporate environments.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and Iraqi tax regulations.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
