he Staff Nurse provides care during the pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative phases of care within the Operating Room Suite. The OR nurse must have the ability to work effectively both independently and within a multi-disciplinary/ multi-cultural team in the Operating Room to deliver the highest quality of care, manages the OR suit, provides primary contact for physician needs, direct OR activities and assignments, ensure smooth running of OR activities and communicates, changes / problems / needs with In-charge nurse, head nurse and nursing administration, he/she also apply all function responsibilities delegated by head nurse and in charge nurse and assume head nurse and in-charge nurse duties in her / his leave.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: ESSENTIAL: BSc. in Nursing. Evidence of current Nursing Registration with relevant Nursing Council. DESIRABLE: Evidence of post registration Operating Theatre qualification an advantage. Evidence of continuous education. Computer literate. ESSENTIAL: A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the Operating Theatre area. English language proficiency DESIRABLE: Extended clinical nursing skills.
