Qualifications & requirements

Duties & Responsibilities:
HSE Supervisor Responsibility:
1. Health and Safety supervisor the identification and remediation of hazardous workplace conditions.
2. Overseesthemeasurementandsamplingofhazardousmaterials,andremovalof physicals, biological and chemical hazards.
3. Being an HSE supervisor investigates, analyzes, and report on any accidents or unsafe events and suggests remedial and preventative actions.
4. Develops a safety conscious culture by providing workforce education on first aid, emergency/safety procedures and regulations.
5. HSE supervisor ensures all necessary records are maintained and are following all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations.
6. ToleadandmanageavarietyofHealth,Safety&Environmentalactivitiesforwork sites (Hoisting and Lifting with cranes environment and projects including overseeing the fire safety measures and rules).
7. Ensuringthatequipmentisinstalledcorrectly/safely
8. Review and develop the Risk assessment of all high-risk activities - Lifting and
hoisting
9. Drawing-upsafeoperationalprocedures
10.Keeping up to date with developments within the profession
11.Making presentations to groups of employees/managers.
12.Providing health and safety training courses for employees and managers 13.Investigating/recording incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health
14.Writing reports, bulletins and newsletters
15.Undertaking risk assessments, Liaising with relevant authorities 16.Organizing/attending health and safety meetings
17.Any other duties as assigned by – or via the supervisory line
Qualification & preferred skills:
• Proven work experience as an HSE Supervisor or similar role with the international oil and Gas industry, in relevant fields (Construction / manufacturing/ Semi-Con/ Logistic), operating in Kurdistan Region.
• A bachelor’s degree in a health, safety, or environmental field of study
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in health and safety.
• Fluency in English &Kurdish and Arabic (speaking, reading, and writing).
• HSE Qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
• Must be able to communicate, present and influence internal & external stakeholders.
• Familiar with Hoisting and Lifting with Cranes environment
• In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures
• Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good organization skills and leadership skills.
