Position: HSE Staff ( TWO )
Location: Erbil
Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with construction industry regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, risks, and environmental impacts, and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide training and education to construction teams on HSE practices, procedures, and regulations, including toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and develop reports with recommendations for preventive measures.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address HSE concerns and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor and evaluate HSE performance metrics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in HSE management and implement relevant updates as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
- [3] years of experience in HSE roles within the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations (OSHA, ANSI, etc.) and environmental compliance standards.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment with multiple projects.
- Certification in OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HSE management software.
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal). hashtagTurkish is Plus.
