Brief description of the organization
Yazda is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 2014 in response to the genocide committed by the self-declared Islamic State (“IS”) against the Yazidis and other communities in Iraq and Syria. Since its inception, Yazda has worked with local and international partners to provide Yazidi survivors, IDPs, and refugees with humanitarian, accountability, and advocacy services in their post-genocide recovery. Yazda has been working in Iraq since October 2014 and operates out of the main offices in Duhok in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and out of the Sinoni office in Sinjar in Nineveh Province. Yazda is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the United States and is registered in Erbil, Baghdad, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, and Australia.
Department Background
The Human resource department at Yazda is the function performed in an organization that facilitates the most effective use of employees to achieve organizational and Department goals. Managing the daily tasks related to the HR such as (staff contract, timesheet and attendance, Performance Evaluation, staff salaries and staff benefits).
Job Description
The HR Assistant will support the HR department in recruitment, employee data management, payroll procedures, and archiving. The HRA does this under direct supervision of the HR Manager, in line with the Yazda HR Policy and Iraqi Labour Law.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Under the supervision of Yazda’s HR Manager, the HR Assistant is expected to fulfill the following tasks:
Requirements
Minimum Experience: two years of experience in an HR or administrative role.
Minimum Education: A diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Required Travel: 50%, travel to Sinjar on regular basis.
