Responsibilities
The Generator Mechanic works shifts to operate and maintain all power generation components within compound to include
Caterpillar, Cummins, and Mitsubishi generators 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
The Generator Mechanic will work 8 hours per day, 6 days per week.
Interprets system operation readings and makes recommendations for needed corrective actions.
The mechanic diagnoses and repairs mechanical problems and engine-generator alignment problems.
Performs preventive maintenance, and troubleshoots and repairs main and emergency backup generators.
A Generator Mechanic Vocational Diploma
or completed an Apprentice program with a Journeyman Certificate.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
