Position Overview:
Bargash Company for Electrical Industries is seeking a qualified Finance Officer to join our team in Erbil. The ideal
candidate will manage and oversee the daily operations of our accounting department and ensure the accuracy and
compliance of financial transactions and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including:
- Month and end-year process
- Accounts payable/receivable
- Cash receipts
- General ledger
- Payroll and utilities
- Treasury, budgeting
- Cash forecasting
- Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
- Capital assets reconciliations
- Trust account statement reconciliations
- Check runs
- Fixed asset activity
- Debt activity
2. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
3. Prepare invoices and manage payment schedules.
4. Handle and safeguard the cash in the safe.
5. Monitor company documents and manage paperwork with governmental and non-governmental administrations
in a timely manner.
6. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
7. Coordinate and complete annual audits.
8. Provide financial recommendations.
9. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
10. Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
11. Meet financial accounting objectives.
12. Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
13. Perform any other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
- Fluency in Kurdish, Arabic, and English.
