Position Summary:

The Field Services Maintenance Supervisor will lead and supervise the maintenance team to ensure effective operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in the Sarsang and Atrush blocks. The role includes planning, distribution of tasks, material procurement, and overseeing installations to ensure all equipment and infrastructure function efficiently and safely.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical Equipment Supervision
    • Oversee a team of field staff and ensure their efforts align with the company's objectives.
    • Oversee the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment, including generators, water pumps, vehicles, and other machinery.
    • Ensure timely and effective resolution of mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Electrical Systems Management
    • Supervise the electrical department, covering generator power systems, supply lines (three-phase), changeovers, main boards, DB boards, air conditioning systems (A/Cs), and lighting.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
  • Plumbing and Sewer Systems
    • Monitor and manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of water and sewer lines.
  • Team Leadership
    • Assign and distribute tasks among the maintenance team based on skills and priorities.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure quality work and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Material Procurement
    • Identify and request necessary materials, including engine oil, oil filters, fuel filters, and electrical components, to ensure smooth maintenance operations.
  • Equipment Installation
    • Supervise the installation of mechanical and electrical equipment such as generators, power lines, water systems, and sewer systems.
    • Ensure installations meet company regulatory standards.
  • Project Oversight
    • Coordinate with relevant departments to plan and execute maintenance projects effectively.
    • Maintain accurate records of completed tasks and ongoing projects.

Qualifications & requirements

  • Proven experience in supervising and leading a maintenance team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical applications, including heavy machinery.
  • Minimum of (7)seven years of experience in the oil and gas industry or a similar environment.
  • Familiarity with maintenance operations in remote or camp-based environments.
  • Hands-on experience in engine and transmission repairs.
  • Expertise in electrical systems, including repairing electrical appliances, vehicles, generators, and A/C systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and standards applicable to maintenance operations.
  • Proficiency in computer applications relevant to maintenance operations and reporting.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Fluency in English and Kurdish (spoken and written).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
