Summary:

Field-based Camp Technical and Maintenance Tasks, must priorities work tasks as they arrive, respond to all Maintenance and Technical requirements inclusive for example Plumbing, Mechanical working with and maintaining camp generation system and generator, A/C units, assist with IT systems and Satellite systems and small power Electrical issues, ensure that the camp or camps safety systems are all in good working order and that the camp or camps are clean from litter and debris, test performance of units or appliances. Implement a Planned Maintenance programme for all HKN’s heavy machinery, responsible for overseeing QA/QC manufacture of new camps and kitchens, supervise and implement installation of new camps and kitchens.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Working within a small team the daily routine shall be but not limited to Inspection and repairs of all camps and identify any problems with mechanical or electrical failures or breakdown.
• Introduce routine servicing and maintenance of Camp Equipment including but not limited to Generators, Kitchen appliances, A/C units Cool Storage Rooms Refrigeration systems. Work with HKN’s Snow Team maintaining and repairing Snow Clearance Machinery.
• Raising awareness that associated equipment must be in safe working order and maintained to a high standard.
• Keep records of inventory and maintenance of equipment and all HKN’s assets in the field
• Maintain and repair HKN’s Diesel Powered Water Pumps especially during drilling when the pumps are a critical to keep supplies of drill water to the drilling rig.
• Maintain and Service HKN Diesel Powered Incinerators.
• Maintain and Service of HKN Diesel Powered Generators.
• Develop a list of recommended spare parts for HKN’s assets.
• Ensure and promote safety and cleanliness throughout the camp or camps.
• Actively promote safe practices that there are no slips, trips, falls; use of machine guards in all tasks and that the correct PPE is worn while carrying out these tasks.
• Respond to all Camp or Camps maintenance requirements.
• Provide advice and guidance on maintaining equipment or appliances.
• Promote relationships by involving HSE Supervisors, Camp Medics etc. So weekly Camp inspections are completed.
• Awareness that some tasks require specialized tools to do the task.
• Familiar with power tools and minor welding tasks.
• Preparing cabins, units and generators etc. to be loaded or moved.
• Assistance with operations of installation or removing equipment with a crane and trailer.
• Enhance and plan maintenance schedule on all camp or camps appliances.
• Issue SFRs as required for Purchases of Materials and equipment.
• Work and liaise with vendors.
• Train Staff when required.
• Work with the Local staff for incineration of waste or disposal and promote segregation of waste.
