Job Summary The Staff Nurse provides clinical care to and supports triage and emergency treatment for patients suffering from acute and long-term illnesses, pain or those requiring surgical intervention. The ER nurse must have the ability to work effectively both independently and within a multi-disciplinary/ multi-cultural team to deliver the highest quality of care. The ER nurse provides professional nursing services and patient care and assists in leading and operating the assigned patient care unit within nursing services. Allocate available resources to promote efficient effective and safe patient care, provide education and training to staff based on theoretical and clinical expertise. Manage nursing station and staff assignment. Ensure smooth running of shift activities, communicate changes, problems, needs with unit manager and nursing supervisors. Perform delegated tasks by the unit manager in the ER.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: ESSENTIAL: BSc. in Nursing Nursing license Computer literate. Valid BLS DESIRABLE: Evidence of post registration ER qualification. WORK EXPERIENCE: ESSENTIAL: 2-4 years English language proficiency ACLS within a defined period of time according to AH competency policy.
