Job Description

  • Drive with car for staff transportation from the office to the field and use for logistician any other obligations
  • Ensure security of the passengers in the vehicle, driving carefully, observing speed limits and traffic rules and adhere to wear safety belt in order to avoid car accidents.
  • Maintain the vehicle in proper operating condition at all times, ensuring enough fuel, checking the technical state etc.
  • Taking care of the car’s cleanliness, whether by the employee or the driver
  • Ensure that the car has a maintenance kit
  • Ensure that the car lift kit and tire punchers kit
  • Ensure and quality first aid kit
  • Ensure of existing Torch light
  • Informing the line manager of any incident involving the transportation of passengers
  • For the driver to maintain the car from time to time to ensure its safety, especially when traveling on external roads
  • Respecting the security rules related to vehicle movements, specifically those related to customs, checkpoints and roadblocks.
  • Ensuring that all vehicle documents and the driver's driving license are valid and in the vehicle.
  • The driver has to provide the real kilo meter to ensure the validity of distances.
  • Driver has to cover all areas of work intervention in Anbar Province
  • Performing any other tasks as requested by supervisor

Qualifications & requirements

Skills: 

Great professional driving skills
Again an obvious point, but drivers need to have exceptional driving skills. This ensures their safety, the success of the project they are carrying on, and the safety of others on the road.
Familiarity with vehicle maintenance
Drivers should be familiar with vehicle maintenance and able to execute any related task to make sure it is safe to drive. They should know simple things such as topping up the water in the engine, making sure that lights work, and examining oil levels.
Expert in driving heavy and light vehicles
Many employers these days prefer drivers that are skilled in driving both light and heavy vehicles. This allows drivers to be flexible in the projects they choose and companies can also save costs in hiring an additional driver. However, all drivers are not required to specialise in driving all kinds of vehicles.
