Job Summary The staff nurse provides clinical and holistic care for critically ill patients (and their families), ensuring the provision of quality-driven evidence-based patient care. He/she must have the ability to work effectively, independently and within a multi-disciplinary/multi-cultural team to deliver the highest quality of critical care, adhere to center or critical care policies, and nursing procedures, standards, and practices. Manages the nursing unit desk. Provides primary contact for physician needs. Direct shift activities and assignments. Ensure smooth running of shift activities and communicate changes / problems / needs with head nurse and nursing supervisors. applying all function responsibilities delegated by head nurse and assume head nurse duties in her / his leave and to act as a clinical and managerial resource for the unit in addition for providing resuscitation cover for the hospital when necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: ESSENTIAL: B Sc. in Nursing Nursing License Computer Literate Valid BLS DESIRABLE: Post registration specialty qualification/experience Master degree in critical care Evidence of continuous education and professional development document. WORK EXPERIENCE: ESSENTIAL: More 2-4 years Demonstrated competency in English language proficiency, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
