Position Summary:

As a key member of the Civil Engineering and Design Team, the CAD Designer (Civil) will undertake 3D modelling and CAD activities to support operations in HKN’s Sarsang block.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day preparation and updating of 3D civil models, including concrete, steel and architectural works.
  • Day to day preparation of conceptual and detailed engineering drawings for civil works including roads, earthworks, utilities, buildings and foundations.
  • Red-line mark ups and preparation of as-built drawings.
  • Measurement and extraction of quantities from 3D models and 2D drawings.

Other duties may include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of bills of quantities for cost estimating.
  • Assisting with the preparation and evaluation of tender packages for civil and building works.
  • Document control of engineering deliverables.
 

Qualifications & requirements

    • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
    • Knowledge and experience of preparing Civil/Structural/Architectural models and drawings using Revit and AutoDesk software. Knowledge of ETABS would be a bonus.
    • Familiar with MS Word and Excel.
    • Visual awareness and an eye for detail.
    • Strong numerical skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Fluent in English – written and oral.

    Physical Requirements:

    This position may involve field trips. Must be in good physical condition and willing to visit Company’s remote facilities for short trips, including overnight stays in Company accommodation.
