Job Description

The Bus Driver at the Iraqi Institution for Development in Ayadhya is responsible for safely transporting students, and other passengers to and from designated locations. The Bus Driver is expected to maintain the bus in good working condition, follow safety regulations, and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications & requirements

  • Safely operate and drive the institution's bus, ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers.
  • Follow a planned route and schedule to transport students, staff, and other passengers to and from designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working order, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly bus, both inside and outside.
  • Ensure the bus is equipped with all necessary safety and emergency equipment.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, including those specific to school buses.
  • Maintain discipline and order among passengers, particularly when transporting students.
  • Provide excellent customer service to passengers, addressing any concerns or inquiries.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus, especially students and individuals with special needs.
  • Keep accurate records of daily trips, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Report any accidents or incidents immediately, following the organization's procedures.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team for regular servicing and repairs of the bus.
